Raymond H. Tackett
May 6, 1956 ~ September 6, 2017 (age 61) 61 Years OldRaymond H. Tackett, 61, of Princeton, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton. He was born on May 6, 1956 in New Castle to Eugene and Anah (Connington) Tackett. He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War on the aircraft carrier ship US Ranger. He came to Princeton in 1978. He was a driver and supervisor at Renzenberger Transportation. He previously worked for Mid-States Rubber for 27 years and was a volunteer fireman for 20 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 25.
He is survived by his wife, Joan (Holderbaugh) Tackett of Princeton; children, Alesia Taylor (Steve) of Evansville and Mike Frederick of Phoenix, AZ; granddaughter, Laura Taylor of Washington, D.C.; sister, Leah Royster of Mena, AK; a nephew; and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton followed by a procession to Oddfellows Cemetery in Princeton with a graveside service at 11 a.m.. Pastor Chris Neikirk will officiate. Military service will be conducted by the Retired Military Veterans.
