Obituary

Uraina Lyles Mohammed, 52, of Evansville, formerly of Princeton, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023 at her home. She was born January 6, 1971 in Princeton. Uraina had lived in Evansville since 2016, moving there from Vincennes. She worked for T.J. Maxx in Evansville and was a 1989 graduate of Princeton Community High School where she ran track. There, she also still holds the school’s record time for the hurdles. She was dearly loved and will be missed.

Uraina is survived by her husband, Chris Mohammed of Evansville; son, Jalil Fellows of Evansville; grandchildren, Rylee and Kaydance Fellows; and siblings, Neil Lyles of Princeton, Desmond Anderson of Louisville, and Keisha Lyles of Princeton.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lester Lyles and Tonja (Gordon) Khan; and her son, Raheim Bright.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, September 17, 2023 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with Eugenia Kay Ballard officiating. Interment will follow at Sand Hill Cemetery near Lyles Station. Visiting hours will be held from noon until the service time on Sunday at the funeral home.
