Suzanne Odom Obituary

Suzanne Odom, 58, of Fort Branch, went home to Heaven to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, June 14, 2021 at her residence. She was born November 25, 1962 in Princeton to the late Frederick Halwes and Frances June (Beadle) Halwes. She graduated from the University of Evansville with a bachelors in computing science and worked as a programmer for Atlas Van Lines. Suzanne worked as an aide at the Fort Branch Community School in the Special Education Department and was a very active member of First Baptist Church in Princeton. She enjoyed being involved in many ministries through the years, as a deacon’s wife, teaching Sunday school, leading youth, and overseeing the Special Needs Ministries. She was certified through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors and was a great example of a devout Christian working and giving her life to serve God. She loved listening to John MacArthur and was musically talented on piano and clarinet. Her absolute greatest joys in life were being a loving mother and Nanna and spending time with her family. She will be missed beyond measure.

Suzanne is survived by her loving husband, Patrick Odom of Fort Branch; children, LeeAnn Munro of Fort Branch and Benjamin Odom (Makayla) of Fort Branch; grandchildren, Anabelle Munro, Gunner Munro, Avery Odom, and one grandson on the way; brother, Scott Halwes (Tricia) of Huber Heights, Ohio; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.

Her parents preceded her in death.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, June 18, 2021 at First Baptist Church in Princeton officiated by Pastor Jim Saunders. Interment will follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery near Fort Branch. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2021 from 4 until 8:00 PM at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton and a morning visitation Friday from 9 until the service hour, 10:00 AM at the church.
