Sue A. Brucks, 73, of Princeton, passed away Monday, February 24, 2020 at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville. She was born November 6, 1946 in McLeansboro, Illinois and was a longtime resident of Princeton. She was a graduate of Princeton High School, class of 1964. She retired in 2002 from Hurst Mfg. Co. in Princeton where she had worked for 27 years. She was a charter member of the local Humane Society, (which she started in her own backyard). Sue always had a smile for everyone and was loved and will be missed by those who knew her.
Sue is survived by her husband, Jerry Brucks of Princeton and to whom she was married in 1968; 2 sons, Michael Brucks of El Paso, TX and Jason Brucks of Princeton; 4 grandchildren, Justin, Briana, Julien and Chandon Brucks; a brother, David Whittaker (Jean) of St. Louis; a sister-in-law, Debbie Whittaker of Virginia.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arch and Betty Whittaker; an infant grandson, Gage Carter-Brucks; and a brother, Richard Whittaker.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, February 29, 2020 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Pastor Anita Marsh officiating. Burial will follow at Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Friday, February 28th at Colvin Funeral Home.
