Steven Douglas Sullivan, 44 of Patoka passed away Thursday, July 21, 2022 at the Linda E. White Hospice in Evansville. He was born, January 18, 1978 in Princeton to Larry and Judy (Minarik) Sullivan.
Steve had lived in the Patoka area all of his life. He had been a cook at the Kentucky Fried Chicken in Princeton for many years. Prior to that, he had worked at Dewig Meats in Haubstadt. He had attended the Patoka Presbyterian Church and the New Life Church of the Nazarene in Princeton. When he was younger, he was involved in 4H. He loved NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhart Sr. He loved to draw, building models, writing poetry, flower gardening and fish aquariums.
Steve is survived by his mother and step-father, Judy and James Walker of Patoka; siblings, Robert Lee Sullivan (Shelli), Christine Hall (Forest) of Hazleton, Roger Ray Sullivan of Princeton; step-brother, Andrew Head of Evansville; biological father, Larry Sullivan of Evansville; several nieces and nephews and his canine companion, Tootsie.
He was preceded in death by his dad, the one who helped to raise him, Everett Rousch.
There will be a funeral service, 3 p.m. Friday, July 29, 2022 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Rev. William Morris officiating. Burial will follow at the Decker Cemetery near Patoka. Visitation will be from 1 until 3 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
