Shelby “Skippy” Knight, 49 of Princeton passed away Friday, September 3, 2021 at his home. He was born April 19, 1972, in Vincennes to Richard “Dick” Knight and Mary (Montgomery) Knight.
Skippy was a Group Leader at Hansen’s Manufacturing in Princeton, where he worked for 17 years. He had lived in Princeton since 2003, moving from Evansville. As a child he lived in Buckskin, attended Mackey Elementary School, and graduated from Wood Memorial High School in 1990. Skippy always had a smile on his face, enjoyed being around people, and loved his dogs, music and trivia.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Mary and Dave Cromer of Mackey; 3 sisters, Cathy Starkey (Jody) of Aurora IL, Jenni Harrison (Bernard) of Mt Olympus, and Rhonda Reinhart (Kemer) of Princeton; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Skippy was preceded in death by his father, Richard “Dick” Knight; sister, Reina Krieg; and step-mother, Pat Knight.
There will be a Celebration of Life, a gathering of family and friends from 5 until 9 p.m. on Friday, September 24, 2021 at the Eagles Lodge in Princeton.
