Raydene Green Obituary

Raydene M. Green, 78, of Oakland City, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at her home. She was born March 28, 1941 in Kansas to the late Ralph and Ruth (Tromble) Smith. She had resided in Oakland City for the past 30 years, coming from Kokomo, IN where she retired from GM Electronics. She was the rock of the entire family, including her children and grandchildren and loved everyone in her own special way. She will be missed by all who knew her. Her goal was to see everyone in Heaven some day!

Raydene is survived by her husband of 61 years, Ronald Green Sr.; 3 children, Ramona M. Green Hammel of Oakland City, Ronald Green Jr. of Petersburg and Rodney Green of Oakland City; 10 grandchildren, Michael Hammel, Anthony Hammel, Jamia Jones, Angela Morrison, Claude Green, Ronnie Green III, Brandy Ellerbruck, Josh Green, Ashley Ellerbruck and Devon Green; 13 great grandchildren; a sister, Rosie Blinn (Jack) of Kokomo; and a brother, Ray Smith (Betty) of Wyoming.

She was preceded in death by siblings, Reba Green, Roberta Slack and Robert Smith.

A funeral service will be held at the graveside, 12:30 p.m. Monday, March 30, 2020 at Somerville Cemetery, with Pastor Rick Walburn officiating. Burial will follow. Visitation will be private, due to the current gathering limitations.
