Phyllis H. (Hill) Brittingham

Phyllis H. Brittingham, 91, of Francisco, IN passed away November 28, 2022 at Transcendent Health Care of Owensville, IN. She was born in Francisco February 1, 1931 to the late Charles Wilber and Lula (Ice) Hill. Phyllis worked at Hansen’s Manufacturing for a few years before becoming a homemaker. She attended Wheeling United Methodist Church. Phyllis loved dancing, cooking, and eating ice cream.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Frank Brittingham; siblings Edwin Bill (Doris) Hill, Mary (Ed) Burns, and Shirley (Gilbert) Robb.  

Phyllis is survived by her children Frank (Marlene) Brittingham and Chuck (Stacy) Brittingham; brother, Bobby J. (Marge) Hill; grandchildren, Kelsey (Kyle) Cummins, Taylor (Evan) Kohl, Chase (Kaitlyn) Brittingham, Tanner Brittingham, Alyssa Brittingham, Kiersten (Conner) Wilson, Hunter Brittingham, Lexus Brittingham, and Spencer Brittingham; great-grandchildren, Leighton Knox Kohl, Landry Walker Kohl, Karsyn Jade Cummins; several nieces and nephew; and special friend and roommate Pearl Burns. 

The family would like to extend a thank you to Transcendent nursing home at Owensville for their care over the years and special thank you to Heart to Heart Hospice for their care and compassion in Phyllis’ final days.  

A graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM CST Friday, December 2, 2022 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Pike County. A viewing will be held from 2:00 PM until the service hour, 2:30 PM at the cemetery.
