Pepper Collins, 66 of Princeton, passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2022 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh. She was born October 11, 1955 in Princeton to Lyndel and Gladys (Grass) Lewis.
She was a homemaker. She was a life member of the VFW Post 2714, Ladies Auxiliary and a member of the American Legion Post 25, Ladies Auxiliary.
Pepper is survived by her daughters, Jamie Lynn Hix (Mickey) of Princeton, Charity Dawn Bush (Bobby Lang) of Metropolis, IL; 2 sisters, Bertha Smith (Gary) of Owensville and Betty Newton (Neal) of Oakland City; 4 grandchildren, Anessa Green, Sabrina Hale, Skylie Miller and Jara Pollock; Great-Grandson, Harlen James Pollock.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Merlin Collins; brothers, Charlie, Fred, Earl and Bill Lewis; and a grandson, Jason Pollock.
There will be a funeral service at the graveside at 1p.m. on Sunday, January 23, 2022 at the Columbia “White” Church Cemetery in Princeton. There will be no visitation. Those attending the service are asked to meet at the cemetery. There will be a gathering of family and friends at the American Legion in Princeton, immediately following the service. The Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
