Pauletta Blanton Obituary

Pauletta G. Blanton, 68, of Hazleton, passed away Monday, February 23, 2026 at The Waters of Princeton. She was born November 27, 1957 in Princeton to the late Herman Schatz and Dorothy (Riley) Schatz. She was a member of Union Community Church in Union and loved the Lord, her church family, and reading the Word. She enjoyed reading daily devotions, crossword puzzles, and watching mystery movies. Pauletta worked at Amber Manor, Oakview Nursing Home, and The Waters of Princeton as a cook and nurses aid. She liked making blankets, helping in the garden, and taking girl's trips to Kentucky Lake. But her greatest joy was spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.

Pauletta is survived by her husband, Donald Blanton; daughter, Heather Thombleson (Matt); grandchildren, Gregory Thombleson, Austin McConnell, and Nolan Thombleson; siblings, Jerry Tucker and Tina Greentree; siblings-in-law, Nila Sharp (Ron), Joe Blanton, and Tom Blanton (Debby); nieces and nephews, Jamie Dillon (Kevin), Patty Morrison (Ron), Cindy Jo McCaleb, Crystal Deimund (Lucus), Jodi Israel (James), Cori Coleman, Herman Schatz (Christy), James Greentree (Leah), Jared Blanton (Jean), Justin Blanton, Jeff Burns (Christy), Jason Gladish (Amy), and Kyle Sharp; great-nieces, Alexis and Ember Strickland; and nephew/birthday buddy, Colton Dawson.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Thomas Paul Blanton; brothers, Darryl Schatz and Herman Schatz II; and sisters, Patty Montgomery and Phyllis Coomer Dill.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, March 2, 2026 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton officiated by Pastor Kevin Easton. Interment will follow at Union Community Cemetery in Union. Visiting hours will be held from 4 until 7:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
