Mickey McGuinn Obituary

Mickey J. McGuinn, 67, of Oakland City, passed away Thursday, August 4, 2022 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh. He was born October 7, 1954 in Terre Haute to the late William McGuinn and Katherine (McCrocklin) McGuinn Hare. He served in the United States Army from 1973 to 1977 and worked as a truck driver for Sterling Trucking. Mickey moved to the Oakland City about 4 years ago from Petersburg. He enjoyed fishing at lakes and ponds and will be missed.

He is survived by his daughters, Misty McGuinn of Princeton and Jessica Newton (Scott) of Boonville; 6 grandchildren; brothers, Bob McGuinn, William McGuinn, Mark McGuinn, Brett McGuinn, Jack McQuinn, David Hare and Lyle Hare; and sisters, Kathy Johnston and Kelly McGuinn.

A celebration of Mickey’s life will be held at a later date. The Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City has been entrusted with the arrangements and is honored to serve Mickey’s family
