Margaret Ann Stewart, 81 of Patoka, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2022 at The Waters of Princeton. She was born February19, 1941 in Pike County near Winslow, to Rev. Raymond and Mildred Marie “Sally” (Keeton) Denton.
She had lived in Patoka for the past 45 years moving there from Fritchton, IN. She had been an Avon Representative for over 40 years and a member of the former, New Covenant Baptist Church in Princeton. She enjoyed crocheting, crafting and watching old cowboy movies. She enjoyed collecting elephants, and had many of them throughout her home.
She is survived by her 2 sons, Damon Stewart of Patoka and Alford Stewart (Tammy) of Flora. IL; brother, Ray Denton of San Diego, CA, and a sister, Jane Kinman of Bastrop, TX; 2 grandchildren, Roy Stewart II and Danielle Stewart.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Nathan Stewart; sister, Merle Stewart, and a brother, Rev. Fredric “Fred” Denton.
A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, December 3, 2022 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Pastor James Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in the Williams Cemetery in Pike County. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. on Friday, and from10 a.m. until the service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
