Lavada Grace (Sloan) Cundiff

Lavada Grace Cundiff, 95, of Princeton, passed away Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Oakland City. She was born August 21, 1927 to the late Dan D. Sloan and Roda E. (Lynch) Sloan and married Arlis Cundiff in 1949. She worked at Hansen Corporation for over 30 years and was a member of First Baptist Church in Princeton. Lavada taught her family the value of a good work ethic and was a wonderful cook. She enjoyed reading, the beauty of nature, and going for drives with her husband. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandkids, and doing puzzles with her great-grandkids. She was dearly loved and will be missed by so many.

Lavada is survived by her husband of 74 years, Arlis Cundiff; grandson, Chad Cundiff (Lisa); granddaughter, Kristen Dicus (Nick); great-grandchildren, Cameron and Colton Cundiff, Kaylie and Chloe Dicus, and Isaac Fair; several nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews; and other family members also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Daniel Cundiff in 2011; brothers, Charles, Bill, and Harry; sisters, Clair, Lena May, and Christine; and two infant brothers.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton officiated by Pastor Jim Saunders. Interment will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Princeton. Visiting hours will be held Tuesday from 4 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
