Obituary

 

Kenneth E. McDonald, 78 of Princeton, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2022 at his home. He was born August 12, 1943 in rural Montgomery, Indiana to the late Frank and Berdina (Pettigrew) McDonald. He graduated from Washington Catholic High School in 1961, and had attended Oakland City College, and served in the Indiana Army National Guard from 1964 to 1970. He was a member of St. Joseph Church, the Knights of Columbus Council 1131 and the American Legion Post 25 all in Princeton. He had worked at McCord Corp., Pacific Press, Emerson, retiring from Premier at the Toyota Plant.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Harold and his sons (nephews); and his wife, Carolyn.

He is survived by his daughter, Cynthia “Cindy” (Rick Hunt); his sister, Rita; and a brother-in-law, Jim Sypitkowshi.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 2 pm Thursday, May 12, 2022 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 410 South Race Street, Princeton, Indiana 47670, with Father Gary Kaiser as celebrant. Visitation will be from 12 noon until the service hour at the church. A rosary will be prayed at 11:45 am Thursday by the Knights of Columbus. Interment will be private at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery in Corning, Indiana.
