Jean Conklin, 87, of Princeton, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2020 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh. She was born October 9, 1933 in Gibson County to the late Alva Willis Conklin and Edith Alma (Tooley) Conklin. She worked at Hurst Manufacturing setting up tools for 36 and a half years. She was a member of the South Gibson Apostolic Church in Owensville and was an evangelist. Jean loved children and often babysat for family and friends. She enjoyed music and playing guitar and in her younger years, enjoyed fishing. She was dearly loved and will be missed beyond measure.
Jean is survived by her siblings, Betty Woods of Evansville, Joy Peach of Owensville, and Don Conklin of Johnson; several nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews; and her favorite animal companion, Truffles the dog.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, James Robert Conklin and Junior Conklin; and sisters, Fern McClellan, Lula Margaret Conklin, and Lora Fay Conklin.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, November 27, 2020 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton officiated by Pastor Paul McGee and Pastor Kerry Davis. Interment will follow at Maumee Cemetery in Owensville. A visitation will be held from 10 until service time 11:00 AM Friday at the funeral home. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a limited number of seating will be available, facial coverings, and social distancing are required.
