Janice "Susie" (Hughes) McEllhiney

Janice “Susie” McEllhiney, 81, of Princeton, passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at 2:10 pm at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville.

Susie was born August 24, 1940 in Princeton to the late Ed and Jean Hughes. She graduated from Princeton High School in 1958 and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Princeton. She enjoyed reading, rummage sales, time with her family and going out to eat.

Susie is survived by her daughter, Ramona McEllhiney; son, Mark McEllhiney; granddaughter, Amber Hagan (Cory); great granddaughter, Ellie Hagan; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Don McEllhiney; her parents, Ed and Jean Hughes; and sister, Debra Brewster.

A funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, August 7, 2022 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, officiated by Pastor Jim Saunders. Interment will follow at Decker Cemetery rural Patoka. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 pm on Saturday, August 6th at the funeral home.
