Janice Mae (Lamb) Chandler, 87, of Haubstadt, passed away November 23, 2020 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh. She was born November 2, 1933 in Oakland City to the late Alvey J. Lamb and Bertha O. (Cunningham) Lamb Stokes. Janice worked in customer service at the Princeton Telephone Company for many years and was a member of New Life Church of The Nazarene where she enjoyed singing in the choir and playing piano. She liked researching ancestry and genealogy and traveling with the family. Some of her family’s fondest memories are of taking the family camper out on camping trips. She was dearly loved and will be missed.
Janice is survived by her daughters, Joy Hyneman of Fort Branch and Jo Burns (Don) of Haubstadt; grandsons, James William Chandler, Thomas Patrick Chandler, and Seth Burns; and a great-grandson, Tennison Burns.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Frank Chandler; and son, James Frank Chandler II.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Friday, November 27, 2020 at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Mt. Olympus with Donnie Truelock officiating.
