Harvey "Joe" Caudill

Harvey “Joe” Caudill, 71, of Cowling, IL, passed away Friday, November 19, 2021 at home. He was born February 18, 1950 in Shawneetown, IL to Roy F. and Bertie M. (DeWitt) Caudill. His lifetime vocation was welding. He was a member of the Eagles in Princeton. He enjoyed drag racing. He was a wonderful father, amazing man, loved life and loved his family even more. He would do anything in the world for the ones he loved.

Joe is survived by his children, Michael Caudill (Cody Caudill) of Princeton, Kimberly Cansler (James Stocker) of Patoka and Gregory Caudill of Patoka; grandchildren, Maci Brittingham (Jacob), Autumn Cansler and Hillary Anthis (Wyatt); great grandchildren, Quincy Brittingham, Felix Brittingham and Archie Anthis; siblings, Norma Lange of Nebraska, Steve Caudill (Tina) of Owensville and Marilyn Tabis of Hartselle, Alabama; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Gerry “Susie” (Meadows) Caudill in 2003; and brothers, James Caudill, William “Bud” Caudill and Homer Wilson.

The family will host a graveside memorial service at 2:00 PM Saturday, December 4, 2021 at Antioch Church Cemetery located at 4200 Co Rd 690 N, Mt. Carmel, Illinois 62863 (Keensburg area off Highway 1). A gathering of family and friends will follow at the Caudill residence in Cowling.
