Frank Whitehouse Obituary

Frank Whitehouse, 86, of Petersburg, IN passed away Monday, July 13, 2026. He was born November 19, 1939 in Wheeling, IN to Robert Whitehouse and Agnes (Kendall) Whitehouse. Frank graduated from Mt. Olympus High School in 1957. He married Carolyn (Petty) Whitehouse May 30, 1964 and was blessed with 62 years together. Frank retired from Amex Coal in 2002 as an underground mechanic after 27 years. He was a member of Wheeling Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge 450, and UMWA 1791. Frank liked hunting and target practicing in early years. He enjoyed tinkering, working on things in the garage, and collecting tractors. Frank was an enthusiastic auction goer. He loved hunting for all the treasures and good deals. Frank is loved deeply and is already truly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Oscar (Thelma) Whitehouse and Margaret Ropp.

Frank is survived by his wife, Carolyn Whitehouse; children, Deanna (Jeff) Bush and Robert (Rebecca) Whitehouse; grandchildren, Emma Bush, Hannah Bush, Dakota Whitehouse (Michael Banister), and Amber (Tyler) McKibben; great-grandchildren, Aurelia, Minevra, Zoey, and Finnley.

A funeral service will be held 1PM CST Saturday, July 18, 2026 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, IN with Pastor Tom Watson officiating and burial to follow at Mt. Olive Cemetery. Visitation will be held 10 AM until service time at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Pike County Animal Shelter; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
