Frances "Frankie" Marie (Scales) Scott

Frances Marie “Frankie” Scott, 97, passed away Friday, May, 13, 2022 at the RiverOaks Health Campus in Princeton.   She was born February 22, 1925 in Oakland City to Howard and Edna Madaline (Miller) Scales.

Frankie had lived in Gibson County all of her life. She was a homemaker and had worked at Potter and Brumfield, with her husband Ed Scott at the Patoka Raceway Moto Cross Track and at Captain Gyros Restaurant and poolroom.

She is survived by her daughter; Gayle Cochran (Joe) of Princeton; 2 brothers, Steve and Randy Scales of Princeton; sister, Janet Weidig of Vincennes; 6 grandchildren, Christa Hinshaw, Joe D. Cochran, Tyrone Cochran (Shellia), Brandon, Braden and Bronson Scott; 8 great grandchildren, Abby, Macie, Mackenzie, Morgan, Daniel, Taylor, Trenton and Jefferey; and 3 great great grandchildren, Rowen, Scarlett and Henry.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 72 years, Ed Scott; 2 sons, Tommy and Jeff Scott; granddaughter, Lorri Cochran; sisters, Betty Jo Land and Thelma Belcher; brothers, Donnie and Buddy Scales, 2 infant siblings, Ethel Louise and Michael Scales.

There will be a gathering of family and friends for a graveside service on Sunday May 29th at 2 p.m. at the Decker Cemetery near Patoka, with Father Gary Kaiser officiating.  There will be no visitation. Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton has been entrusted with the arrangements.
