Ethel Aders Obituary

Ethel Mae (Lewis) Aders, of Princeton, Indiana, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2020 at Solarbron Terrace in Evansville.

She is survived by her daughter, Debra Eckert (Dennis); son, Mark Aders; grandchildren, Audrie Aders Manzi (Gary), Heath Eckert (Thu) and Jared Eckert; and seven great grandchildren.

Ethel worked as a stay-at-home mom for many years before joining the workforce full time. Her last position was executive secretary at the Princeton Telephone Company. She retired at 55 and spent her retirement years volunteering with her husband in the Coast Guard Auxiliary, American Red Cross, Deland Cancer Society and working Heritage Days in Princeton. She was a talented and skillful woman who could do almost anything.

The family expresses their gratitude to the staff of Solarbron Terrace and Heart to Heart Hospice for their care and support which allowed her to go Home peacefully.

A joint Celebration of Life service for Ethel Mae and her beloved husband, Howard, who preceded her in death in November, will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the hour of service on Thursday. Due to state mandated COVID-19 regulations, capacity inside the funeral home is limited with masks and social distancing required. The service will be live streamed on the Colvin Funeral Homes Facebook page.
