Dora Bee (Johnson) Hathaway, 59, of Princeton, passed away Friday, October 15, 2021 at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville. She was born February 1, 1962 in Sedalia, Missouri to the late Elmer Woodrow Johnson and Doris Lou (White) Johnson. She graduated Princeton Community High School then went on to earn an Associates Degree from University of Southern Indiana. Dora was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and worked as a radiology technician for over 12 years at Gibson General Hospital serving as preceptor for many of the students from VU and USI. Dora was an avid animal lover and enjoyed caring for her 15 chickens and two dogs, Scruffy and Sadie. She shared an over-abundance of love from friends and family and was a people person to her core. She loved keeping up with all her relationships, especially with the students she helped teach over the years. She was the meaning of “big love” and will be forever missed.
Dora is survived by her husband, Ed Hathaway of Princeton; children, Misty Cederholm (John) of Princeton; Christopher Hathaway of Evansville, and Kelsey Ellis (Brandon) of Princeton; grandchildren, Paxton, Bryson, Bailee, John “JW”, Liberty, and Ethan; siblings, Tina Clark (Wes) of Princeton and Michael Johnson (Tish) of Hazleton; and sister-in-law, Linda Johnson of Princeton.
She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, “Lucky” Johnson.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton officiated by Father Gary Kaiser. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 10 until the service hour, 12:00 Noon Tuesday at the funeral home.
