Cynthia Brashear Obituary

Cindy Brashear, 61 of Lawrenceville, formerly of the Oatsville area, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh. She was born in Princeton, May 8, 1961 to Roy and Martha (Krieg) White. 

Cindy attended P.C.H.S. class of 1980. She had lived in Lawrenceville for 36 years. Cindy was a private caregiver, a homebody, a quiet, and caring person with a big heart. Her step-children claimed her as their own. If a child was around, they were getting loved and spoiled by her whether they wanted to or not.  She loved animals and movies, especially, Christmas movies, Harry Potter, and Robin Hood.

Cindy is survived by her husband, John of Lawrenceville to whom she married, April 4, 1988; mother, Martha White of Owensville; step-children; Heather Campbell (Lee J.) of St. Francisville, Ben Brashear (Megan) of Indianapolis; sisters, Nancy Montgomery (Dan), Michelle Cates (Bob), Patty Sharp (Terry);

grandchildren, Gen Campbell, Cole Campbell, Samuel Brashear, Mackenzie Sturm; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Roy White; brother, Danny Krieg; step-child, Aimee Strum; and nephew, Benjamin Sharp.

A funeral service will be held at the graveside, 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Mt Olympus officiated by Ethan Uppencamp.  Burial will follow the services. There will be no public visitation. The Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton is in charge of the arrangements and is honored to serve Cindy’s family.
