Obituary

Carol E. Linxwiler, 85, of Princeton, passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at home. She was born July 2, 1936 in Princeton to the late Alvin and Locie (Smith) Jarvis. In her youth, Carol and her sister, Naomi would walk all over town to attend several churches. Carol came to know the Lord at the young age of 10 and enjoyed singing in church with Naomi. They were even heard on the radio singing “His Eyes are on the Sparrow”. Carol was a devout Christian her whole life and married the love of her life Bobby Linxwiler on April 22, 1977. They were blessed with 25 years together before his passing in 2002. Carol taught her family how important it was to follow God but most of all she showed her family what being a vessel of love looked like. She was loved by her family dearly and will be missed beyond measure.

Carol is survived by her children, Dale Young (Lisa) of Princeton, Dennis Young of Petersburg, Randy Young of Princeton, Sandra Boling (Mark) of Mt. Olympus and Kristina Harper (Walter Estie) of Owensville; grandchildren, Shannon, Jason, Brandy, Jerome, Kimberly, Cristy, Shaina, Britnie, Alex and Rachel; 9 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Virginia Houchins; and several nieces and nephews including one special niece, Beverly Sue Kelly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings, Martha Morris, Naomi Jarvis, Gilbert Jarvis and Harvey Jarvis.
