Valada D. Peil, 67, of Hazleton, passed away Saturday, August 10, 2019 at the Waters of Princeton. She was born Sept. 17, 1951 in Patoka to Roy W. and Maxine M. (Pleiss) Terry.
Valada graduated from P.H.S. in 1969. In school she belonged to 4-H and Future Homemakers of America. She graduated from Lockyear Business College in Evansville. She retired from Mid States Rubber in 1997 where she worked for 26 years. She was member of the Union Local 2717 there and had been a Union Steward and Secretary-Treasurer of the Local. She was of the Pentecostal faith, enjoyed crocheting, working puzzles, reading and taking care of her dogs. She was a NASCAR car and truck race fan, with her favorite driver being Dale Earnhardt, Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Randy Peil of Hazleton; and brother, Roy W. “Buster” Terry of Bicknell.
Valada was preceded in death by her parents, and a brother, Paul A. Terry.
Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Pastor Tony Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in the Decker Cemetery rural Patoka. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Wednesday at Colvin Funeral Home.
