Reina Krieg Obituary

Reina Marie (Davidson) Krieg, passed away on February 8, 2019 at the age of 50, with her loving family by her side.  Reina was born in Princeton, IN on March 10, 1968 to Billy Davidson and Shelia Pat (Price) Knight.

Reina was a graduate of Princeton Community High School and Wabash Valley College and also attended the University of Southern Indiana and Southern Illinois University.  She worked for many years as a nursery school teacher, first for Happy Times Nursery School and then for Ann Montgomery’s ABC Academy.  Reina also worked as an aide at Brumfield Elementary School and volunteered countless hours for Bethel Christian School.

Reina married her husband, Rob, on November 21, 1992 and they have two children, Tucker and Jackson.  Reina spent much of her time and energy focused on her two sons, whom she adored.  It is impossible to imagine how many ballgames, musicals and other events she attended over the years.  She was always such a positive person, cheering on her boys and their teammates no matter how they played or how a game or race turned out.  She especially loved watching Tucker’s football games for Gibson Southern and Jackson’s cross-country and track meets for PCHS.  Reina loved to vacation with her family at Walt Disney World and enjoyed participating in Bible studies at Bethel Memorial Church, where she attended since age 13.  What made her happiest though was that she had the privilege of praying with each of her children as they accepted Christ as their Savior.

The family wants to give special thanks to IU Drs. Scott Shapiro and Edward Dropcho and their staffs, Dr. Edward Fox and his staff, the Gibson General and St. Mary’s rehab staffs, home health nurse Jane Ann Rogers, and the special people at Kindred Hospice.  The family also thanks many family members and friends for their prayers, cards, meals, love and care including her “Uncle” Rick Price, “Aunt” Vicky Page, her Aunt and Uncle Becky and Paul McDaniel, Peggy Atkinson, and her Bethel Memorial Church family.

Reina was preceded in death by her father, Billy Davidson and her grandparents Vern and Nina Price, Bill and Betty Davidson, and Frank and Hester Knight.

She is survived by husband Rob, children Tucker and Jackson, parents Dick and Pat Knight, sister Rhonda Reinhart (Kemer), Step-Sister Cathy Starky (Jody), Step-Sister Jenny Knight (Bernie), Step-brother Shelby “Skippy” Knight, parent in-laws June and Joe Avona and Barbara and Dale Krieg, sister and brother in-laws Julie and Clint Page and Brandy and Troy Marshall, and many beloved nephews and nieces.

Visitation with be from 3-8 pm on Monday, February 11, 2019 at Bethel Memorial Church, 1520 South Main St., Princeton, IN 47670.  A private funeral will be held at the White Church Cemetery with Pastor Kevin Wilson officiating.  Colvin Funeral Home is honored to serve the Krieg family.
