Larry Emery Hedge, 80, of Patoka, passed away Friday, December 6, 2019 surrounded by family. He was a lifetime resident of Patoka, lifetime member of Patoka Presbyterian Church, and a member of the Patoka Masonic Lodge. Larry was a self-employed carpet layer who loved arrowhead hunting, fishing, hunting, playing clabber, and sports. He played basketball for the Patoka Wrens and was on the team when they all fouled out at Mackey. He loved to travel and see the country and loved bluegrass music.
Larry was born September 16, 1939 to Humpy and Mae Hedge. He married his sweetheart, Phyllis on August 1, 1959.
Larry is survived by his son, Richard (Natalie) Hedge; daughters, Pamela Hartley and Rebecca (Marty) Miller; sisters, Mary (Ken) Hiday and Judie (Monty) Reynolds; brother, Joe (Bev) Hedge; grandchildren, Josh, Matt, Tasha, Truly, and Courtney; 10 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; sister, Barbara; and brothers, Terry and Ron.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with Reverend William Morris officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Patoka. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 from 4 until 8:00 PM at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with a masonic memorial service at 5:00 PM by the Columbia Lodge #450.
