Kale W. “K.O.” Clardy, 69, of Princeton, passed away Sunday, October 7, 2018 at his home in Princeton. He was born on October 13, 1948 in Hopkinsville, KY to George Washington and Rachel (Tandy) Clardy. He lived in Princeton for over 40 years, coming from Terre Haute. He was a coalminer at Wabash Mine in Keensburg for over 30 years, retiring in 2005. He served in the US Navy. He was an avid photographer, bowled in a league for over 40 years and belonged to the UMWA Local 1791. He attended Waymen Chapel AME in Lyles Station.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Viola Clardy of Princeton; 4 children, Andre Crowe (Marie) of Princeton, Ronda Case (Winfred) of Mississippi, Kale Walker (Regina) of Terre Haute, IN and David Crowe of Indianapolis, IN; 4 grandchildren, Kale Walker III, Pierce Case, Julian Case, and Stevon Croom; special aunt, Ester Bell of Indianapolis, IN; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Wanda Grimes and Norma Jean Clardy.
Funeral service will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton. Burial will follow at Sand Hill Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be from 11 am-1 pm on Saturday at Colvin Funeral Home.
