Jennie D. “Pudd” Tolbert, 69, of rural Hazleton, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes. She was born April 2, 1949 in Hazleton to the late Walter Carl Tolbert and Ruth Ella (Whittington) Tolbert and resided in the area her entire lifetime. She was a retired bookkeeper and enjoyed embroidery and needlepoint, baking and catering to her nieces and nephews.
Jennie is survived by her brothers and sisters, John Tolbert (Marie), Alnora “Susie” Bringwald (Cotton), Ruth Helen “Midge” Baehl and Royce Hudson “Chuck” Tolbert (Joyce); her companion, Steve Bassler; several nieces & nephews, great nieces & nephews and great-great nieces & nephews; special friends and neighbors, The Davidson family and Dallas & Nancy Collins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Bertis Tolbert and Roy Joe “Quig” Tolbert; a brother-in-law, Jerome Baehl; a sister-in-law, Helen Tolbert; a niece, Janice Tolbert Hartman; and a nephew, Aaron Baehl.
A Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with John Davidson officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday at Colvin Funeral Home.
