Janet "Sue" (Ward) Deffendall

Janet “Sue” (Ward) Deffendall, 71, of Princeton, passed away Monday, August 26, 2019 at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton. She was born June 10, 1948 in Princeton, Indiana to Bertis and Imo (Coomer) Ward, both deceased. She was a nurse’s aide at Gibson General Hospital for many years.

Sue is survived by grandsons, Keith Moore and Tommy Pridgen; sister, Patty Dyehouse; nephews, Justin Dyehouse and Jerry Ward, Jr.; nieces, Amber Dyehouse, Cynthia Ward and Debie Ward; and a step-son, Devin Deffendall.

She was also preceded in death by her husband, Russell; daughter, Alicia Pridgen; a brother, Jerry Wayne Ward; and her step-mother, Charlotte Ward.

A graveside service will be held at 10 am on Friday, August 30, 2019 at Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton, with Rev. Curtis Bond officiating. There will be no visitation. Colvin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements and is honored to serve Sue’s family.
