Jane Linville Obituary

Jane Ellen Linville, 58, of Mount Carmel, Illinois, originally of Mount Vernon, Illinois, passed away with her family and friends by her side on Thursday, January 2nd, 2020 at SSM Health Saint Louis University Hospital. She was born October 20th, 1961 in Mount Vernon to the late James Frank and Freda Catherine (Austin) Wright. She married Jerry Wayne Linville on July 26th, 1980 at Pastor Bus Hart’s home and they were together 22 years before separating. Jane worked at Walmart as a customer service manager for a number of years, then at The Mount Vernon Register-News as a rural route newspaper carrier. She attended Parkview Christian Church in Mount Carmel and her favorite past time was spending time with family, especially her grandkids. Jane enjoyed numerous hobbies including: crocheting, collecting dolls, watching Hallmark love stories, singing slightly off key to Carrie Underwood without a care, and making fudge during the holidays. She’d often be caught driving around because she liked going and her most recent favorite activity was cooking up a storm with her daughter, Jayanna. She had a big heart and would do anything for her family and friends. She was the kindest woman who had a special love for making a pet out of a stray and was easy to make laugh and smile. Her caring heart will continue to love for generations and she will be dearly missed beyond measure.

Jane is survived by her children, April Linville of Mount Vernon, Jayanna Weaver and significant other, Andy Macklin of Mount Carmel, and Scotty Linville and wife, Angel of Mount Vernon; brothers, Danny Wright and wife, Debbie of Ina and David Wright and wife, Helen of Griffith, Indiana; sister-in-law, Marie Hamilton of Mount Vernon; brothers-in-law, Don Linville and wife, Sachiko of Mount Vernon, Leroy Linville, Terry Linville, and Bob Linville all of Mount Vernon; half siblings, Raymond Wright and Inez Capps; beloved grandchildren, Alexis Johnson, Emma Lewis, Oliver Lewis, Aiden Goodsell, Carter Linville, and Makaya Linville; so many special nieces and nephews; friend, Tammy Denham and significant other, Tony Currie; newest crocheting partner in crime, Hope Macklin; and 2 very special friends who she adored and spent years of her life devoted to, Sean Martin and Halley Richmond.

She was preceded In death by her, parents; husband; siblings, Steve Wright, Jerry Cantrell, Kenny Wright, Bobby Wright, Waymon “Speed” Wright, and Carolyn Cantrell; infant twin sister, Alice Jane Wright; niece, Amber Prichard; nephews, Mike Wright and Christopher Bryan Wright; sister-in-law, Gloria Wright; and many uncles, aunts, and cousins.
