James E. Catt, 82, died September 15, 2019 at Good Samaritan Hospital. He was born April 20, 1937 and is preceded in death by his parents Maurice and Louise Catt. Jim graduated from Hazelton High School Class of 1955 and was a member of the basketball team.
He was employed by Vinson and Phillips Farms for 46 years, retiring in 2016.
He and his wife loved Gatlinburg Tennessee and vacationed there every year for 52 years. They also enjoyed trips to Quincy, Massachusetts and dog sitting their Granddogs in Indianapolis.
He enjoyed watching Nascar Racing and cheering for IU Sports on TV.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sue (Kirk), Son and Daughter-in-Law Kerry and Cristy Catt of Indianapolis, and Grandchildren Farrah (Matt) Osborne of Quincy, Mass, Braden (Carolyne) Catt of Seattle, Wash., Sarah Catt of Anderson, Ind., Kevin A. Catt of Evansville, Ind., Amber Barnett of Evansville, Ind., and Great Granddaughter Chloe Osborne.
Other family includes Nephews Kirk (Becky) Bouchie of Vincennes, Ind., Nephew Kent (Claudia) Bouchie of Bicknell, Ind., Niece Kim (Eric) Lane of Vincennes, Ind., and Cousin Patty Malotte of Petersburg, Ind., and special friend Cliff Vinson.
He was preceded in death by his son James Kevin in 2014, brother and sister-in-law Doyle & Shannon Catt, sister Vicky Howard and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Joretta and Louis Bouchie.
Funeral service will be held at 4 pm on Wednesday, September 18, 2019 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton officiated by Pastor Sam Polito. Visitation will be 1 pm until the service time at 4 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home.
