Eric M. Bailey

Eric M. Bailey, 38, of Princeton, passed away Monday, January 7, 2019 at his home in Princeton. He was born on December 8, 1980 in Evansville, IN to James and Pam (Phillips) Bailey. Eric graduated from Wood Memorial High School in 1999, then went on to graduate with an Associate Degree from V.U. He was the office manager at County Seat Veterinary Hospital in Princeton, which is operated by his wife, Sarah Stewart Bailey. He was a member of the Oakland City Church of the Nazarene.

Eric was a ham radio operator and enjoyed working on car stereos and electronics. He also built computers. He was a patient and loving father and also loved animals.

He is survived by his wife, Sarah Stewart Bailey of Princeton; daughter, Gracelynn Bailey; parents, James and Pam Bailey of Francisco; 2 brothers, Steven Bailey (Jodie) of Oakland City and Neal Bailey (Leah) of Patoka; grandfather, Eugene Phillips of Francisco; mother-in-law, Gail Stewart of Princeton; brother-in-law, Levi Stewart (Krystal) of Princeton; grandmother-in-law, Phyllis Hensley of Princeton; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gloria Phillips, David Bailey and Barbara Ward; and his father-in-law, Steven Stewart.

Funeral service will be held at 11 am on Friday, January 11, 2019 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, officiated by Rev. Darin Nossett. Burial will follow at Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 pm on Thursday at Colvin Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Educational Fund set up for Gracelynn Bailey, who has autism. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
