Dorothy F. “Dottie” Spurgeon, 74, of Princeton, passed away Friday, January 4, 2019 at Gibson General Hospital SNF in Princeton. She was born April 5, 1944 to the late, Jake and Evangeline Oestreicher. She graduated from Fort Branch High School in 1962. She married Joseph on October 30, 1964.
She attended Bethel Memorial Church. She enjoyed volunteering as a pink lady at the hospital and as a Red Cross Volunteer.
She loved her family greatly. She truly enjoyed being a Nana, her pets, gardening, flowers, rainbows and traveling. (Especially the WRAY bus tours.) Dorothy will be greatly missed by her family and friends. We will cherish her memory forever.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Joe Spurgeon of Princeton; her only daughter, Debbie Kixmiller (Jason); her grandson, Braden; and her granddaughter, Jada all of Washington.
A private graveside service will be held at St. Johns Cemetery in Buckskin, officiated by Pastor Kevin Wilson. Burial will follow. There will be no visitation. Colvin Funeral Home of Princeton has been entrusted with arrangements.
