Chris Martin Obituary

Ralph Christian “Chris” Martin, 50, lifelong resident of Princeton & beloved son, grandson, brother, & uncle, entered eternal life with the Lord on Sunday, January 27, 2019. Chris was born on May 16, 1968 at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton, the second of six children born to Ralph & Linda (Pegram) Martin. He graduated from St. Joseph Catholic School in 1982 & Princeton Community High School in 1986. He attended USI & worked as an electrician for IBEW Local 16 for 20 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Chris is survived by his parents Ralph and Linda Martin of Princeton; grandmother Roumilda Pegram of Princeton; brothers Kyle (Shelly) Martin of Evansville & Kent (Mikala) Martin of Owensville; sisters Kimberly Davis (Kirk Hales) of Princeton & Shannon Lake of Newburgh; nieces & nephews Zachary, Alyssa, Kaylee & Brady of Evansville; Cain (Gretchen), Brooks & Braylen of Owensville; Adriana, Hunter, Haley & Ashtyn of Princeton; Kylie, Kierstyn, & Kynlee of Newburgh; great-niece Madalyn & great-nephew Ryker of Owensville; also numerous aunts, uncles, cousins & friends.

Chris was preceded in death by his twin brother Patrick Gene Martin; maternal grandfather Robert Gene Pegram, & paternal grandparents Victor & Lillian Martin.

We know that you are finally at peace. Your sense of humor, zest for life, & passion for singing will be greatly missed.

All funeral services are on Saturday, February 2, 2019. A Mass of Christian burial at St. Joseph Catholic Church will be held at 12:30 pm with Father Brian Emmick as celebrant. Visitation will be at Colvin Funeral Home 10 am-12 pm prior to Mass. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Joseph Catholic School, 427 S. Stormont St., Princeton, IN 47670. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
