Caroline Lucas

Caroline Lucas, 81, of Princeton, IN passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton. She was born October 6, 1936 in Princeton to John Lucas and Florence (Jones) Lucas. She was a member of Second Baptist Church of Vincennes and attended the Patoka Presbyterian Church in Patoka, IN.

Caroline enjoyed doing word search and crossword puzzles and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also loved taking walks with her beloved dog Chetah and spending time with her second family, Johnnie Gatewood and family.

She is survived by her 3 children, Robert Lucas of Princeton, Linda Lucas of Vincennes and Michael Lucas of Vincennes; 5 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Elmer Lucas; sister, Inez Mattox and daughter, Donnetta (Shorty) Lucas.

Funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Friday, July 20, 2018 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, officiated by Rev. William Morris. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Vincennes. Visitation will be from 10 am until the hour of service on Friday at the Colvin Funeral Home.
