Anthony Wayne Wilson

Anthony Wayne Wilson, 64, of Oakland City, went home to be with his Lord, Monday, April 15, 2019. He was born October 16, 1954 in Sullivan, Indiana. He had lived in the Oakland City area since 1990, coming from Oaktown, Indiana. Anthony was an electrical technician for Indianapolis Power & Light, electric utility company in Petersburg for the past 30 years, and was a member of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 1395. He was an active member of Oasis Assembly of God in Princeton. He was a family man and especially loved his grandchildren.  He was a hard worker and enjoyed a keen interest in geology. Anthony was dearly loved and will be missed by those who knew him.

Anthony is survived by his loving wife, Linda (Small) Wilson, to whom he was married in 1975 in Monroe City, IN; his loving children and grandchildren, Rachel Plunkett (Brian) and their children, Brady, Grant, Gabriel and Caleb of Noblesville, IN and Phillip Wilson (Wendy) and their children, Brookelyn, Dominik and Remi of Mt. Vernon, IN; his mother, Shirley A. Wilson of Oaktown, IN; a brother, Kevin Wilson of Washington, IN; and a sister, Karen Eveland of Indianapolis.

He was preceded in death by his father, Owen Wilson.

A Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. CDT Saturday, April 20, 2019 at Oasis Assembly of God, 1104 South Stout Street, Princeton, IN. Pastor Mike Marsh will officiate. Burial will follow at Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton. A visitation will be from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. CDT Friday, April 19th at Oasis Assembly of God and again from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. CDT Saturday at the church.

The family suggests for those who wish, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Oasis Assembly of God. Envelopes will be available at the church.
