Anna Geraldine Hester was born in Lyles Station, Indiana on May 6, 1940 to Sylvester and Flossie Ann (Stewart) Berry. She transitioned from her Earthly home to live eternally with The Lord on March 5, 2019, at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton, Indiana.
Geraldine was a graduate of Princeton Community High School and retired from the Whirlpool Corporation after 30 years of service. She was baptized at an early age at the Olive Branch Baptist Church and later moved her membership to the St. Paul Baptist Church where she served on the Mothers’ Board and the Missionary Society. She was a member of the Eastern Star.
Geraldine was part of a large loving family. She shared her gifts of nurturing and loving each person. She loved to travel, go to church and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are her parents, two sisters and three brothers.
Her church family and the Princeton Community honor Geraldine today. She is mourned by her son, Emanuel of Princeton, one daughter, Angela (Reginald) Smith of Nashville, TN, two sisters, Edna Wright of Princeton and Deborah Swope of New Jersey, 4 grandchildren, Karlin , Donovan, Cameron, and Jaylynn , a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 11, 2019 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, IN officiated by Pastor Rodney Coffer, Dr. Floyd Edwards and Elder James Wilkerson. Burial will follow in Sand Hill Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. on Sunday evening at the funeral home.
