Wayne E. Robling 87, of rural Hazleton, passed away Friday, February 16, 2018 at the Gibson General Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility in Princeton. He was born May 14, 1930 in Billet, IL to Fred and Mary Ethel (Ross) Robling.
Wayne was a retired welder last working for Woods Machine Shop in Princeton for 19 years. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army and was a member of the American Legion Post 25 in Princeton. He had attended the Mt. Olive United Methodist Church in Mt Olympus.
Wayne is survived by his wife of 64 years, Wilma Josephine Robling to whom he married November 7 1953; son, Bryan Robling of Somerville, SC; daughter, Janice Gail Moyer of Lawrenceville, IL; grandchildren Carl W., Paul and Jacob E. Robling, and Bryan Robling Jr. and several great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Paul Robling and sister, Marjorie Robling.
Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, with Pastor Kevin Easton officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Mt. Olympus. Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. until service time on Tuesday at the funeral home.
