Sharon L. Butcher, 63 of Oakland City, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at home. She was born June 4, 1954 and was a homemaker. She was a member of Somerville Wesleyan Church. Sharon is survived by her husband, Alan Butcher, to whom she was married on October 9, 1992; 3 sons, David Green and John Green (Melissa) of Oakland City and Jason Green (Marti) of Farmington, MO; 8 grandchildren, Anessa and Kolten Green, Katelynn McHargue, Logan Green, Aiden Green, Carissa Blair, Peyton and Kennedy Shoultz; 3 brothers, Richard Doerner (Doloris), Ron Doerner (Darlene) and Lester Doerner (Terri); 2 sisters, Pat Vaughn and Teresa Motley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Beverly and Audrey (Lecocq) Doerner; a sister and brother-in-law, Beverly and Ron Knight.
A Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Townsley Cemetery near Mackey, with Pastor Lloyd Jones officiating. Burial will follow. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Friday at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City. Those attending the service are asked to meet at the cemetery.
