Geneva F. Davidson, 102, born January 13, 1915, in Pike County, Indiana, passed away on March 22, 2017 at Gibson General Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit in Princeton. Her parents, Arthur and Alesa (Lizzie) Foust, her only sister, Irene Phillips, as well as her only brother, Delbert Foust, all preceded her in death.

Geneva graduated from Petersburg High School in 1931. She graduated from Oakland City University with a two year degree in Elementary teaching and later returned to complete her four year degree. She taught country schools in Pike County for five years. She loved being an assistant in farm life, gardening, lawn care, needle work, and music. She served humbly as pianist and Sunday school teacher over seventy years. She loved her family and her Lord, trusting Him for eternal salvation.

Geneva was married on June 25, 1938 to Walter (Bert ) Davidson and began residence in Gibson County. Walter passed away in 1983. They were parents to one son, Jay (Julia). Jay’s sons and wives were Jimmy Jay (Elizabeth) of Schereville, Indiana, Jason (Jill) of Murphy, Texas and John (Michelle) of Fort Branch. Great-grandchildren are Warren, Ryan, Lauren, Henry, Mercedes and Elaina. She also has a great-great grandson, Newton.

Funeral services will be at 3 pm on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at the Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton with John B. Davidson and Pastor Sam Polito officiating. Burial will follow in the Davidson Cemetery near Giro, IN. Visitation will be from noon until the service time on Saturday at the funeral home.
